Before you can start making money on a website or a blog you need visitors for your site. It’s easy to create a new website, but to get the visitors is, however, not very easy! There are proberly a lot of websites or blogs with the same subject as yours, so you have to ask yourself: how do I get visitors for my website?
First of all, do the SEO (search engine optimization). Search engine optimization is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines. The leading search engines, such as Google and Yahoo!, use crawlers to find pages for their algorithmic search results. Pages that are linked from other search engine indexed pages do not need to be submitted because they are found automatically.
One important thing about SEO is that visitors from search engines are more willing to click on your ads than direct visitors. So if you want to make big money, focus on getting a good Google Page Rank (a page one placement at Google). There are a lot of websites about SEO (just Google it), so for now, I won’t write anything about it…
When the SEO is done, you should focus on getting income links to your website (links from other websites to your website). This will also help you increase your Google Page Rank. On way of doing this is to write some good and exciting content for your website or blog, and then wait. Eventually some people will find your website so interesting that they’ll put a link to your site, at their website or blog.
Another way of getting income links is that you post links to your website on different discussion forums, in blog comments on other blogs, on facebook, etc. This is extremely effective! However, dont’ be a spammer! Leaving comments on blogs, or post on forums just to promote your website, may not be a good idea.
Of course there are a lot of other things that you can do, but search engine optimization, income links, and a good content are the the most important things in order to get visitors for your site.
